Associate Professor/Director Graduate Studies at Metropolitan Campus - International School of Hospitality and Tourism Management

Dr. Ritz has over thirty years experience in the travel and tourism industry that includes development and management of special interest, recreational and visit USA tourism, corporate travel management, incentive programs, and meeting planning.

Dr. Ritz conceptualized and developed a global travel management program for Sony Corporation and conducted research of overseas climate for travel management acceptance in Germany, France, England and Japan. She also developed and published the Sony Global Travel Guide for Sony Corporation.

As Global Corporate Travel and Conferences Manager at Avon Products she conducted research on the feasibility of an electronic corporate travel expense management process implementation as well as managed meeting and incentive programs. Dr. Ritz developed and published the Avon Global Travel Guide.

She was also Director of Meetings and Conventions at Active International, a leading trading company in the United States, Europe and Latin America.

She is an honors graduate in busines management/marketing from Dominican College of Blauvelt and completed her graduate degree in communication arts - with honors - from Iona College in New Rochelle, NY. She has a doctoral degree in international education development with a concentration in adult education from Teachers College Columbia University.

Dr. Ritz has been inducted in the Teachers College Columbia University Chapter of KAPPA DELTA PI International Honor Society in Education, holds CHE (Certified Hospitality Educator) certification from the Educational Institute/American Hotel & Lodging Association and has certification as Connective Leadership Practitioner from the Connective Leadership Institute.
