Mary Kay Mastronardy Stratis

Mary Kay StratisA University trustee and successful alumna, Mary Kay Mastronardy Stratis has been a generous FDU benefactor for 35 years.

In 1988, Stratis lost her husband, FDU alumnus (BS’67 [Ruth], MBA’76 [Metro]) and Trustee Elia, in the PanAm Flight 103 bombing. In memory of her husband, she established the Elia G. Stratis Endowed Scholarship, which assists accounting majors and track and field athletes.

Throughout the years, Stratis’ generosity has provided many additions to the school including the Elia G. Stratis Lounge and the indoor running track in the Rothman Center on the Metropolitan Campus and the Elia G. Stratis Running Track in the Ferguson Recreation Center on the Florham Campus. In 2007, the athletic venue inside the Rothman Center was named Stratis Arena to honor her leadership and generosity.

Stratis holds a BA in secondary education as well as an MAT degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
