Highly selective/competitive scholarship

Consideration begins with students who meet the following criteria:

  • SAT (Critical Reading + Math) = 1300 or higher or ACT = 29 or higher
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5
  • Guidance/career counselor or EducationUSA advisor must submit a Presidential Scholarship Nomination Form
    Nominations from agents/consultants are not accepted. Note that the paper form may only be submitted for international students and American's Abroad.  Counselors submitting forms for domestic students must use the electronic form on www.fdu.edu/presidential
  • Personal essay of 400-500 words on a topic of the applicant's choosing
Conditions:
  • On-campus housing required for the duration of study
  • Renewable up to 4 years
  • DEADLINE: Fall - January 15; Spring - November 1

Col. Fairleigh S. Dickinson Scholarship
$11,000 to $30,000

  • SAT (Critical Reading + Math) = 1050 or higher or ACT = 23 or higher
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Renewable up to 4 years

FDU International Scholarship
$1,000 to $15,000

  • Based on academic merit and demonstrated financial need
  • Renewable up to 4 years

Global Housing Grant
$3,000

  • Must live on METROPOLITAN CAMPUS
  • Based on academic merit, financial need and extracurricular involvement
  • Recipients can still qualify for merit-based scholarships
  • Renewable up to 2 years

FDU Family Grant
$1,500

  • For families with 2 or more dependent children simultaneously attending FDU
  • Maximum of $1,500 will be awarded per person for up to 4 years for undergraduates
  • Recipients can still qualify for merit-based scholarships
  • Does not apply to students enrolled in Wroxton College, summer sessions, inter-sessions, mini-sessions, or other special sessions

Children of Alumni Grant
$1,500

  • For dependent children of FDU alumni
  • Recipients can still qualify for merit-based scholarships
  • Renewable up to 4 years for undergraduates

Alumni-Trustee-Faculty Endorsement Grant
$1,000 (one-time grant)

  • Requires a recommendation form (download from Important Documents) from an FDU graduate, faculty member or trustee

Athletic Scholarships
Varies (up to full tuition and housing)

  • Recognizes superior athletic ability of students participating in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I
  • Only available at the Metropolitan Campus
