Why did you choose FDU?
I chose FDU because the business school had a great reputation and is AACSB accredited, the university's location is ideal because it is right next to New York City, and I was awarded a great scholarship.
What do you like best about FDU?
FDU is like a family, I am not just a name or number here.
What do you miss most about home?
What was your biggest surprise about U.S. life and education?
The study style here is totally different from the style in China, we are always encoraged to ask question and to speak in the classroom.
...your biggest disappointment?
New York City is not as good as my imagination.
How have you handled:
Study more, speak more, and see more.
My parents are doing real estate business in Shanghai.
...adjusting to a different educational system?
We can only change/adjust ourselves for the situation we cannot change.
What are your activities at FDU?
I have worked for the School of Education as a Graduate Assistant for over 2 years, I have been an Orientation Leader for 5 semesters for Internatianal Student Services, I drive the school van for Public Safety for the new international students during the orientation period, and I was the president of Chinese Student Association
How easy or difficult is making friends?
A man has friend or not according to what he is, not according to where he stay.
What are your career goals?
Have more working and social experience, and then start my own business. So I need a MBA degree.
What has been your favorite class?
Operational Management. Because the professor is very interesting, I can understand every word he said.
What do you do for fun?
I like to play basketball, read, and go shopping
Do you go into NYC often?
Yes, I got there very often. I did a part-time job for sales in Brooklyn and Queens, and I don't even need a GPS when I am driving in NYC.
What is your favorite spot on campus?
The walking bridge in our campus
What is your advice to other students who are considering FDU?
FDU is a great school, you will not be disappointed.
