FDU Outlines New Graduate Programs

Fairleigh Dickinson University is excited to expand its academic reach by adding to its comprehensive list of academic majors and concentrations. These new programs will provide FDU students with a clear advantage by meeting the growing demands in their associated industries.

New Graduate Majors

Beginning in Spring 2017

  • Digital Marketing, MS -  Exclusively ONLINE!
    The emergent digital environment has been transforming all aspects of business. The new MS in Digital Marketing prepares students to be tech savvy and strategically creative to fill digital marketing positions ranging from content creation and social media to creative services and production. The 30-34 credit program is delivered entirely online.

Beginning in Fall 2017

  • Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, MS - Metropolitan Campus
    Combining theoretical concepts with practical applications, this 30 credit program focuses on network security administration and secure software development, two key areas of Cybersecurity and Information Assurance (CSIA). Students will learn to establish information security protocols; build firewalls and defend against security intrusions; use encryption and protect information; regulate access to data; establish virus protection systems; implement business continuity and disaster recovery plans; conduct penetration tests and analyze vulnerabilities; develop secure software; help resolve information technology issues related to security; and employ energy saving devices, systems and data storage, contributing to environmental sustainability

Fall 2016

  • Master of Science in Nursing, MSN - Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner and Family Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Tracks - Florham Campus
    FDU's Henry P. Becton School of Nursing and Allied Health is now offering the above tracks at our Florham Campus location in Madison, NJ. Earn your MSN in as little as two years by tailoring your career path with these high-demand tracks. Evening classes that will fit your busy schedule with part-time and full-time options available. (Accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.)
  • Certified Teachers/Preschool through Grade 3 Certification, MA - Florham and Metropolitan Campuses
    The Master of Arts Certified Teachers (MACT) is a 36-credit program that allows teachers to pursue specializations while attaining their master’s degrees.  Each program is unique in that teachers can graduate with an 18-credit certification in their area of specialization and a 12-credit New Jersey Supervisor license.

  • Clinical Mental Health Counseling, MA - Florham Campus
    S
    chool Counseling (Specialization)

    The program prepares highly competent counseling professionals – including entry and advanced level counselors, counseling researchers, and counseling administrators - to have a significant impact on the mental health field as counselors, program directors, researchers, grant writers, and policy makers on the local, state, and national levels.

  • Clinical Mental Health Counseling, MA - Florham Campus
    Addictions Counseling (Specialization)

    Students will be trained to conduct intake and assessment interviews, to develop treatment plans and counseling interventions, and to function as ethical and competent counselors. Students also will acquire a knowledge of research and assessment techniques and the pragmatic concerns (e.g., managed care and budget constraints) facing the mental health field today.
