I'm Accepted, what's next?

Use this checklist to ease your transition to FDU!

  1. Submit Your Deposit

    Secure your place in our Fall 2017 incoming class by submitting your non-refundable deposit. Be sure to mail in your New Student Matriculation Form with either your check (made payable to Fairleigh Dickinson University) or a copy of your proof of payment online.

  2. Set up Your FDU Email Account

    To create an FDU email account (webmail), visit webmail.fdu.edu and click on Create New Account. You will need your student ID number found on your admission letter. If you need assistance in creating a webmail account, visit fdu.edu/webmailhelp.

  3. Housing and Meal Plan

    Complete your online Housing and Meal Plan Application. Use your FDU email and password to access the housing application. Space is limited and cannot be guaranteed after May 1.

  4. Apply for Financial Aid

    You and your family are encouraged to apply for financial aid at FDU. If you have not already done so, please file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Be sure to include Fairleigh Dickinson University's Metropolitan Campus school code: 002607.

  1. Send Final Transcripts or GED

    A final high school transcript(s) or showing proof of graduation or a GED is required. Mail transcripts to:

    If final, official transcripts are not received, a registration hold will be placed on your account and admission may be revoked.

  1. Advanced Placement, IB and College Credits

    Final testing results for Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB) and final official college transcript(s) should be sent to:

    All results will be evaluated by academic advisors to determine transferrable credits.

  1. Middle College Credits

    If you participated in FDU's Middle College program during high school, please submit an official college transcript. Visit fdu.edu/middle for a Transcript Request Form.

  1. Orientation

    After submitting your deposit, the Dean of Students Office will contact you with details about the New Student Orientation program. This overnight experience will give you the opportunity to meet your classmates, enroll in classes and stay in the residence halls! The session dates are as follows:

  2. Disability Services

    If you are requesting accommodations you must submit a completed Self-Identification Form along with appropriate documentation. For questions regarding testing accommodations, contact the Office of the Provost at 201.692.2477 at least two weeks before your scheduled orientation date date.   3. Health Forms

    New Jersey state law requires all students to provide proof of immunizations to the University’s Student Health Services Office before they can register for classes or check into the residence halls. Download and complete all required Health Forms. If you have questions, contact the Student Health Services Office at 201.692.2437.
