Pre-professional Program

Accelerated curricula at FDU will allow students to earn their bachelor’s and professional doctoral degrees in one year less than in traditional programs. Among the combined degree programs with professional schools    are: B.S./D.D.M., B.S./D.D.S., B.S./D.C., B.S./D.Ph., B.S./O.D., B.S./D.P.M., B.S./D.V.M, B.S./M.D.

While in these programs, students are guaranteed an interview into professional schools, provided they maintain appropriate academic standards.

Students matriculate at FDU and complete course work leading to a B.S. degree in biology, chemistry or biochemistry. After three years of study, students then proceed to the desired professional school, where they spend 3.5 to 4 years completing the remainder of the B.S. degree requirements and the doctoral degree requirements. Students thus save a year of undergraduate tuition and accompanying expenses and, more importantly, get a head start on their professional careers.
