Personalized Mentoring Program

Inherent to the School's mission and philosophy, the faculty and staff of the School of Criminal Justice, Political Science, & International Studies have developed a Personalized Mentoring Program whereby every student is teamed with a faculty mentor who provides both academic and career advisement.

Recognizing that learning is an idiosyncratic process in which every student learns differently, faculty mentors work with students on a per semester basis to ensure that their course selections are timely, consistent with their needs and interest, and lead to the timely completion of their degrees.  Underscoring the importantance of time management, faculty advisement takes into consideration the importance of balancing academics with other commitments such as family and friends, athletics, full or part-time employment, as well as social activities.
