FDU’s PR office creates content for and manages FDU’s website and social media channels and we are looking for a Graphic Design Intern to create visuals for these channels.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student to boost their resume and build a portfolio of work samples to bring to future job interviews.

About Your Role:

As a Graphic Design Intern, you will design fun and engaging graphics for FDU’s website and Instagram, Twitter and Facebook channels. You will be familiar with developing infographics with a natural instinct to transform an idea into a visual design. If you enjoy graphic design and are looking to put your skills to the test, then we want to hear from you.

This internship is part time and pays $10 an hour and work is 10 hours a week (150 hours for the semester), and is available to students attending the Florham or Metropolitan Campuses.

About You:

  • Experience with digital desigm

About Your Role:

As a Photography Intern you will be involved in the nuts and bolts of everything photography — from selecting scenic locations for campus landscape/beauty shots, to choosing the right camera settings to make sure you capture the perfect shot.

If you are someone who always knows what is going on and around campus from athletics, campus activities to community events, then we want to hear from you. As a Photography Intern you will have a first glimpse of the latest events and hands-on involvement in editing and posting photos to FDU’s Instagram, Twitter and Facebook channels.

This internship is part time and pays $10 an hour and work is 10 hours a week (150 hours for the semester), and is available to students attending the Florham or Metropolitan Campuses.

About You:

  • Have experience with basic photography including landscape/beauty shots, and campus event shoots
  • Ability to worc with Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and other social media channels
  • Possess some photography equipment
  • Working knowledge of Nikon cameras
  • Sophomore student or above, with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0

You will be involved in all facets of social media management, including content creation, social media listening, and measuring analytics.

As a Videography Intern you will be involved in the nuts and bolts of everything related to video, from shooting, editing and uploading. As a big fan of web video, you will also be able to edit projects quickly using video editing software. Job Summary 

This internship position is a non-paid internship.  The intern will receive three credits from Fairleigh Dickinson for a minimum of 20-hour a week internship.  The internship will take place at the Teaneck Community Charter School, located at 563 Chestnut Avenue, Teaneck NJ 07666.  We are seeking an intern who is full of great ideas and interested in contributing on a large scale and wants to work in a community environment.  The intern will help to improve the programs and services of the Teaneck Community Charter School district by integrating the district with the community. The intern is responsible for the coordination of a comprehensive two-way communication process involving both internal and external publics, with the goal of stimulating a better understanding of the role, objectives, accomplishments and needs of the school district.  

Qualifications: 

  • Intern should be a junior or senior, in an area relevant to coordinating and directing school/community relations such as public relations, mass communication, business/vocational education, or equivalent education and experience
  • Previous experience in a public school environment preferred
  • Experience in development/oversight in collaborative chool/community programming and two-way networking
  • Working knowledge of internal and external communication strategies
  • Mastery of communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal)

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Knowledge of linear editing software (Final Cut Pro, iMovie, Premiere, Avid).
  • Ability to operate a camera and field equipment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Must be able to work at our Summit, NJ studio and provide own transportation
  • Ability to work in a team setting or on own, depending on project/task assigned, take direction and follow-through on projects
  • A recommendation from a cooperating teacher

Job Summary 

This internship position is a non-paid internship.  The intern will receive three credits from Fairleigh Dickinson for a minimum of 20-hour a week internship.  The internship will take place at the Teaneck Community Charter School, located at 563 Chestnut Avenue, Teaneck NJ 07666.  We are seeking an intern who is full of great ideas and interested in contributing on a large scale and wants to work in a community environment.  The intern will help to improve the programs and services of the Teaneck Community Charter School district by integrating the district with the community. The intern is responsible for the coordination of a comprehensive two-way communication process involving both internal and external publics, with the goal of stimulating a better understanding of the role, objectives, accomplishments and needs of the school district.  

Qualifications: 

  • Intern should be a junior or senior, in an area relevant to coordinating and directing school/community relations such as public relations, mass communication, business/vocational education, or equivalent education and experience
  • Previous experience in a public school environment preferred
  • Experience in development/oversight in collaborative chool/community programming and two-way networking
  • Working knowledge of internal and external communication strategies
  • Mastery of communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal)
  • Efficiency with current technology for performance of duties; including graphics design and publication/print software Evidence of strong analytical and critical thinking and judgment skills 

Duties shall include but not be limited to: 

  • Assist the school administration in assessing and interpreting public attitudes
  • Build and update donor lists
  • Identify and help shape policies and procedures in the school’s interest
  • Vigorously publicize student, faculty, and staff achievements
  • Work with staff all aspects of the school district’s publications such as external and internal newsletters, brochures, bulletins, letters
  • Promote positive media relations and coverage
  • Develop a comprehensive communications plan for the district
  • Conduct formal and informal research to determine public opinion and attitude
  • Promote the district’s strengths/achievements, and its solutions to problems
  • Promote the development of collaborative initiatives between the schools and local business/industry
  • Performs other duties deemed appropriate and assigned by the school administration
