New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants

With a membership of more than 15,000, the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA) is the largest professional organization serving the needs of Garden State CPAs. Representing the majority of New Jersey CPAs in public practice, industry, government and education, the NJSCPA supports members in fulfilling their professional responsibilities and achieving success through leadership, education, networking, and community involvement initiatives.

Memberships

Fellow Membership

Open to anyone holding a CPA license from any state.

Associate Membership

Open to any chartered accountant or its equivalent in any country other than the United States.

CPA Candidate

Open to anyone who has received an undergraduate and/or graduate degree (or its equivalent from a non-U.S. jurisdiction) within the last five years, meets the requirements necessary to take and demonstrates intent to complete the CPA examination; or, anyone who has successfully completed the CPA examination and has not met the education or experience requirements necessary to obtain a CPA certificate/license.

Student Membership

Open to anyone who is enrolled in an undergraduate or full-time graduate education program that will result in qualification to take the CPA exam.

Scholarship Program

The New Jersey Society of CPAs College Scholarship Program provides scholarships to accounting students at New Jersey colleges. The scholarships are available to college students currently in their junior year or seniors who will be entering an accounting-related graduate program.

New Jersey college students who meet the following criteria are invited to apply for a NJCPA college scholarship. Each student should be:

• A resident of New Jersey attending a New Jersey college or university
• An accounting major, or have a concentration in accounting, with at least 12 credits in accounting completed by the end of the semester
• Currently junior-year status or above in an undergraduate program OR
    Enrolled in an accounting related program in the semester or entering an accounting related program in the following semester
