Proficiency Exams

Proficiency examinations are available for students to take in order to demonstrate knowledge in a particular area of study. Successful demonstration will result in a corresponding class being eligible for waiver.

Students who wish to take a proficiency exam must take the exam before the completion of their first semester.

Students are permitted to take an examination one time only for a course. Courses for which proficiency exams are administered and for which study guides are available include:

Financial Accounting: End User Approach
Economic Analysis
Principles of Finance
Foundations of Management
Marketing Principles
Statistical Data Analysis

The completed exams are prepared and evaluated by the respective departments on a pass/fail basis.

To register for a proficiency exam please download and complete the proficiency exam registration form and return to the correct graduate advising office location.
