11th Annual Recognition Reception

The eleventh annual Rothman Institute Recognition Lecture will be held in collaboration with the Silberman College's PDP program on Wednesday, October 9, 2013. The evening will begin with an elegant reception at 7:30 p.m. in the Orangerie on the College at Florham campus, Fairleigh Dickinson University. Chris Johnson, FDU alumnus, will be the guest speaker.

About the Speaker

Chris Johnson

Christopher A. Johnson, a principal of the firm, oversees the day-to-day operations of the construction services practice. Over the past 20 years, Mr. Johnson has Rothman Chris Johnson Cropped LOGOmanaged building projects in excess of 10,000,000 square feet. He represents many of the major public, private and institutional property and business owners in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

Since founding Hollister Construction Services in 2004, his leadership has been instrumental to the company’s growth, fueled primarily by his accessibility and commitment to client satisfaction. Clients retain HCS regularly because of the high level of service that Mr. Johnson provides and demands from his staff. Strong relationships naturally take route over the course of a project with HCS. The number of employees has grown significantly and continues to do so, as does the employee retention rate; our clients look to Mr. Johnson for his commitment to quality as seen through his caliber of his staff and the execution of HCS projects.

Mr. Johnson started his career with BGA Construction, a national retail store fixture contractor and later moved to the Troast Construction Company, a regional construction manager, in the capacity of Vice President. He earned a B.S. in Management and Entrepreneurial Studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University.

November 20th Distinguished Alumni Lecture

Gene Waddy

Gene C. Waddy is a visionary entrepreneur and owner of DIVERSANT LLC, the nation's largest African-American owned IT staffing and solutions firmRothman Waddy pic LOGO. In many ways, DIVERSANT is a reflection of Gene's professional expertise, personal drive, and his commitment to helping others. The company has enjoyed dramatic growth, even during the economic downturn, and has developed a reputation for excellence among numerous Fortune 500 companies.

The son of two Harlemites, Gene was raised in New Jersey. Gene attended Fairleigh Dickinson University where he earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. A "Jersey Guy" at heart, Gene chose to stay in his home state where he now resides with his wife and children.
