ISE Corporate Partner Roundtable Series

 

The purpose of the ISE Corporate Partner Roundtables is to offer a forum for companies from different industry sectors and academia to share information and expertise in the area of sustainability leadership and management. The objective is to facilitate dialogue and networking on sustainability issues that can affect any industry.

Confidentiality:  Operating Rules for CP Roundtables, previously developed by two Corporate Partners, Suzanne Forbes from Wakefern ShopRite and Veronica Croucher from Sanofi,  are briefly reviewed and agreed to at each Roundtable.


 

Roundtable Series on Metrics for Sustainable Performance

Hosted by the Institute for Sustainable Enterprise at Fairleigh Dickinson University

The "Metrics for Sustainable Performance" Roundtable series will focus on helping participants learn about best practices in business metrics that participant companies are already implementing, while gaining an understanding of powerful advancements that are transforming the way business will operate in the future. As a result of the series, we anticipate that companies will be able to streamline and standardize their performance management, sustainability metrics and reporting processes, making them more efficient, effective, and future-focused.

Who Attended: Hospital sustainability leaders, purchasing, or facilities/environmental management; healthcare suppliers; sustainability professionals

Objectives – first roundtable:

  • Raise awareness of existing tools and resources that support sustainability in healthcare
  • Discuss effectiveness of current Environmentally Preferred Purchasing (EPP) programs
  • Create an open dialogue with suppliers on addressing hospital sustainability challenges
  • Share new thinking on integrating total cost of ownership into procurement

 Expected Outcomes:

  • Identify 1-3 common healthcare sustainability challenges
  • Develop workstream(s)to collaboratively address identified challenges

  


 

A new Roundtable Series focused on Sustainable Supply Chains was launched on March 30th, 2012 at Becton Dickinson.

  • 2012 Supply Chain Roundtables were held on May 1st at Covanta Energy, June 12th at FDU's College at Florham, and July 24th at BASF.
  • 2013 Supply Chain Roundtables were held at FDU on January 14th, April 10th at Sanofi and June 19th at FDU.

 


 

Corporate Partner Roundtable Series on Creating a Culture for Sustainability

 

SUMMARY

The  ISE Corporate Partner Roundtable Series, “Creating a Culture of Sustainability”, was co-sponsored by Gretchen Digby, Ingersoll Rand and Laurie Roy, Alcoa Howmet, and is co-created by the design team which also includes Barry Dambach, Alcatel-Lucent, Michael Buczynski, Church & Dwight, Scott Sandman, BASF, Joel Harmon, ISE, and was facilitated by Jeana Wirtenberg.  A series of five Roundtables were held where Corporate Partner senior sustainability managers along with their HR colleagues were invited to discuss best practices, challenges and issues across industries as they relate to engaging people and creating a culture for sustainability in their respective companies.
