Dr. Pamela Giordano

Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice


Biography

Dr. Pamela Giordano joined the School of Pharmacy in August 2013. As a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Dr. Giordano precepts students during their experiential pharmacy practice and assists with teaching in the classroom. Dr. Giordano’s practice site is Newark Beth Israel Medical Center located in Newark, NJ.

Dr. Giordano received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. Post graduation she went on to complete an ASHP accredited pharmacy practice residency at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. During her first year of post-graduate work, Dr. Giordano witnessed the impact of an infectious diseases clinical pharmacist. This led her to purse and successfully complete an ASHP accredited infectious diseases specialty residency at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL.

Dr. Giordano is passionate about higher education and improving patient care.

She is excited to be a member of the FDU team and is looking forward to guiding future pharmacists through the dynamic healthcare field.

Pharmacokinetic monitoring of antimicrobials
Dose optimization of anti-infectives in special patient populations (obesity and renal insufficiency)
Infections of the immunocompromised host
