Dr. Shreya Patel

Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice


Biography

Dr. Shreya Patel joined Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Pharmacy in July 2016. As an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice, she prepares and teaches pharmacotherapy courses.

Dr. Patel received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from MCPHS University in Boston, MA and completed a post-doctoral pharmacy residency training at University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro, Princeton, NJ.  After completing her training, Dr. Patel joined Touro College of Pharmacy in New York. She has over 7 years of experience in academia and clinical pharmacy. She was a pharmacotherapy specialist for the cardiac care unit at Mt. Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital where she provided clinical services to advance and improve patient care. At Touro College of Pharmacy, Dr. Patel coordinated and developed core pharmacotherapeutics courses. She was the chair of the assessment committee and developed the college’s teaching certificate program for pharmacy residents.

Dr. Patel is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and a registered pharmacist for the state of New Jersey and New York. Dr. Patel’s research interest includes in the area of cardiovascular pharmacotherapy and innovations in pharmacy education. Dr. Patel has authored several peer reviewed publication and is an Associate Editorial Team Lead for the American College of Cardiology Geriatric Cardiology section.
