Dr. Hyunah Cho
Dr. Cho joined the School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in January 2018 as an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dr. Cho teaches Pharmaceutics-related didactic courses and compounding laboratories.
Dr. Cho received her B.S. in Pharmacy and M.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Sookmyung Women's University, South Korea. Dr. Cho received her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the School of Pharmacy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Before joining FDU, Dr. Cho served as an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical and Administrative Sciences for three and a half years at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
Dr. Cho's research interests involve the development of various nano-based drug delivery systems including polymeric micelles, nanogels, and nanofilms. Dr. Cho is interested in understanding the physicochemical properties of nanocarriers, utilizing 3D printing technology for the convenient and precise production of nanomedicines, and taking additional steps to assess potential values of nanomedicines in pre- and clinical settings, especially in the areas of cancer therapy, pain relief, and intraoperative surgical guidance.
