On behalf of the Order of the Sword and Shield National Honor Society at Fairleigh Dickinson University,we would like for you to consider membership in our national honor society dedicated exclusively to homeland security, intelligence, emergency management, and all protective security disciplines. The Honor Society was founded in 2010 at St. John’s University in New York and is one of the fastest growing honor societies in the United States. The mission of our society is to promote critical thinking, high scholarship and professional development; to further enhance the ethical standards of the protective security professions; and to cultivate a high order of personal living.
By inviting you to consider your eligibility for applying to become a member of our prestigious honor society, we hope to encourage you to maintain your academic affiliation with Fairleigh Dickinson University and develop and maintain networking relationships with other professionals who have serious academic interests.
As a lifetime member of the Order of the Sword and Shield, you receive a membership certificate, lapel pin, membership card, and free attendance at our National Conference. Each member pays a onetime application fee of $50 and the FDU local chapter fee ($15 for active students/ $25 for graduates). Recent graduates of FDU (graduating after January 1, 2011) are eligible to join the Order of the Sword and Shield via the Student Membership Application.
