Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Petrocelli College of Continuing Studies has a long history of offering career-relevant programs to adults and working professionals. The following undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs are now delivered to students around the world in a fully online format. Click on a program name for more information.

 

Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Individualized Studies

The BA in individualized studies degree, often referred to as the BAIS, is ideally suited to employed adult learners who have already earned some college credit and are looking for a timely and cost efficient vehicle to complete their undergraduate degrees. The course work has an intense practical orientation which enables students to immediately apply the business theory and technological skills learned to their day-to-day working lives. This degree offers specializations in Business, Communications, Applied Technology, Liberal Arts and Public Service Administration.

Associate in Arts (AA)

The Associate in Arts degree with a Liberal Arts major is a 60-credit undergraduate degree. Adult students with little or no college credit have the option of earning an AA, either as a terminal degree or as a step on the way towards earning a bachelor's degree. All credits earned for the AA can roll directly into the BA in Individualized Studies.

Master of Administrative Science (MAS)

The MAS is a 30 credit graduate degree program designed to develop critical managerial skills and leadership effectiveness. It is structured to address the career development needs of adult learners working in administrative and professional positions in the government and military, as well as the public and non-profit sectors. The curriculum is structured to enable students to earn certificates in a variety of disciplines that will advance their professional credentials as they pursue their master’s degree. Master of Science in Homeland Security (MSHS)

The MSHS is a 36 credit graduate program that focuses on practical and theoretical aspects of enforcing and ensuring homeland security. There is a strong emphasis on leadership throughout the program. The degree offers specializations in Terrorism and Security Studies, Emergency Management, and Leadership. Graduate Certificates in the MAS Program

Many graduate students have been attracted by the opportunity to earn professional certification in a specific area while working on their MAS degree. Each certificate requires that you complete 18 credits (six courses). These certificates can be earned on a matriculating or non-matriculating basis and can also be completed at the post-graduate level.
