Academic Program

Latino Promise students work toward either an Liberal Arts AA or a Bachelor of Arts in Individualized Studies.

Students who earn their Associate’s Degree with a satisfactory GPA will receive 40% off tuition per academic year to complete their studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Students can declare their major at Fairleigh Dickinson University or transfer to another College/University.

In addition to the courses students can choose from for their AA degree, students enrolled in Latino Promise must also take the Latino Leadership Seminar. This course develops student leadership skills by combining both traditional leadership content with non-traditional lecture. Further, they engage in personal exchange with Hispanic professionals, business and community leaders on topics ranging from overcoming cultural obstacles to entrepreneurial success to personal achievement. Latino Promise students hear firsthand about dressing for success, interviewing skills, conflict resolution and much, much more.

Creating a Culture of Giving Back

Through the Latino Promise Seminar, students also actively volunteer in their communities by conducting food, clothing and toy drives as well as participating in Relay for Life at the Metropolitan Campus.

  • Philadelphia
