Korean Scholarship Dinner

New Jersey now ranks among the top three states in the country in terms of its Korean population. Among them are many newcomers or residents with limited or no English language skills who have immigrated to the United States from Korea. In response to the growing need for financial aids for Korean American students, a small group of Korean American community leaders have joined the mission to provide assistance to outstanding students with Korean heritage to pursue a higher education and realize their full potential.

FDU Korean Program Scholarship, established by notable Korean Program alumni, is available to FDU students who have Korean heritage and demonstrated academic achievement.

Mission

The Korean Program Scholarship seeks to assist Korean American students in pursuit of academic and personal achievements through recognizing outstanding students who excel in academics as well as in services to the community, and have demonstrated a potential to become future leaders of the society.

Vision

Through this important scholarship initiative, FDU Korean Program Scholarship strives for developing global leaders and strengthening Korea-friendly networks worldwide by actively engaging students with Korean heritage, fortifying leadership development through community and civic service, and cultivating and instilling the sense of pride in Korean cultural heritage and tradition.
