Donald Hoover

Associate Director/Senior Lecturer, International School of Hospitality & Tourism Management

Donald Hoover recently joined Fairleigh Dickinson University’s International School of Hospitality and Tourism Management’s full time faculty teaching various undergraduate and graduate hospitality management courses, and overseeing the School’s Atlantic City and Ocean County locations. He has a B.S. in Business Administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and an M.S. degree in Hospitality Management Studies from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is currently completing his doctoral studies at Wilmington University.

Prof. Hoover has over 18 years of management experience primarily in the area of Human Resources at Tropicana Casino and Resorts in Atlantic City, where he dealt with over 5000 employees. His various positions there included: Executive Director of Human Resources, Quality Assurance; Director of Personnel; Director of Employment and Director of Training and Recruitment.

Prof. Hoover has been an active member of various Atlantic City Hotel and Casino related organizations. He has also participated in numerous educational initiatives and is an advisory board member of the Eagle Academy in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.
