Ruth Hladyk

Director of Internships & Professional Development, International School of Hospitality & Tourism Management

Ruth Hladyk is the Director of Internships and Professional Development for the International School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. She has been with ISHTM as an Adjunct faculty member and  an Administrator since 2002.  

Prof. Hladyk’s training and expertise is in the area of service business management. Possessing over  30 years of industry experience, Prof. Hladyk has worked as a corporate meeting and marketing manager for Agfa Corporation where she coordinated all tradeshow and convention activities. She also owned and operated a service company, Stat Us Photography.

In preparing for her career Professor Hladyk secured the following educational qualifications and certifications:

  • B.S. in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University
  • M.S. in Hospitality Management  from Fairleigh Dickinson University

Professor Hladyk earned her Certified Hospitality Educator status from the Educational Institute in 2003.

Professor Hladyk was the recipient of awards:

  • Entrepreneur of the Year 1991 
  • Service Excellence Award from Maritz Travel Division                     

Professor Hladyk also serves as a member of the following board of advisors:

  • Morris County School of Technology
  • County College of Morris School of Hospitality Management
