David Froelke

Adjunct Professor, International School of Hospitality & Tourism Management

David R. Froelke is a returning member to the International School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. From 1998-2000 he was a highly respected and popular full-time member of our Faculty.  Recently he rejoined the facutly as an adjunct member and currently teaches Property Management

Professor Froelke has extensive training and expertise in all forms of property management including:

  • hotels
  • mixed used projects
  • shopping malls
  • event venues
  • office buildings

Professor Froelke has worked for numerous hospitality/tourism corporations in various executive management positions including:

  • Westfield Corporation-General Manager of North Bridge a six square block mixed use development located on North Michigan Avenue in Chicago.
  • Urban Retail Properties-Vice President, Group Manager and General Manger of Century City Shopping Center in Los Angeles

Currently he is Senior Vice President of Related Urban Management Company, LLC and General Manager of Time Warner Center/The Shops at Columbus Circle.

In preparing for his career Professor Froelke secured the following educaitonal qualifications:

  • B.S. in Transporation, Travel and Tourism from Niagara University
  • MBA from Lake Forest graduate School of management at Lake Forest College

Also, he has lectured on the subject of asset management and professional development at numerous education and industry forums across the country including Fairleigh Dickinson University.

In addition, Professor Froelke previously served on the National Advisory Board of the School of Hospitality and Service Management at Roschester Institute of Technology. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and was previously a member of the Executive Boards of  The Greater North Michigan Avenue Association and The Century City Chamber of Commerce.
