Her studies at ISHTM combined with her industry experience offer a unique perspective to the program in her role as Assistant to the Director ofTechnology, Communications, and Continuing Education for ISHTM.

Dara spent her graduate work in 2007 and 2008 working as a GraduateAssistant in the department of University Advancement at Fairleigh Dickinson University working closely with the Director of Donor Relations and Special Events. This sparked Dara's interest in the event management industry specifically within a higher education or non-profit capacity fulfilling personal philanthropic interests and a strong desire to give back.

With a successful background in sales immediately following graduation, Dara spent the later half of her post-graduate, professional experience from 2011-2015 fulfilling her strong desire to work in the event management industry at a non-profit organization. She conceptualized, implemented, and executed major fundraisers at Good Grief, Inc. a non-profit organization in northern New Jersey that offers free, peer support services to grieving children and families. In addition to event management, she oversaw the production of print communications ensuring effective brand accuracy, design, and layout; content and messaging for digital communications; website management; and relationships among the organization’s network of corporate partners and donors.

Dara brings to the ISHTM program a strong knowledge of effective event management, digital and print communications planning, strategic marketing, and great interpersonal skills in business development.
