Sai Sankar is the Chief Research Engineer at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s School of Automotive Enterprise Studies. He is a Mechanical Engineer who specializes in Hybrid and Electric vehicle powertrains. Sai has over the years designed and built an electric vehicle and a plug-in hybrid. Sai also currently manages the FDU SAE Super-mileage Challenge team as the Team’s Project Manager. The Super-mileage team is currently working on improving the fuel-efficiency of existing gasoline engine vehicles by reductions in weight, drag and optimizing internal combustion engine performance. Sai’s areas of expertise include hybrid and electric vehicle powertrains, vehicle integration, retrofit technology and chassis design. In addition to this, Sai also has a vast amount of experience in automotive sales and service.
