The New Jersey Judiciary, Hudson Vicinage, is seeking a detail oriented professional to work in the Civil Division as a Court Services Supervisor 2. Under the general direction of the Division Manager and Assistant Division Manager, the successful candidate will monitor, assign, coordinate, evaluate and lead the work of a team of professional and support staff. The candidate will also oversee, monitor, and review a civil caseload and interact with Judges, staff, the New Jersey bar, and self-represented litigants to ensure that cases are processed efficiently and backlog is reduced. The successful candidate will develop and reconcile statistical reports, oversee projects, and report on case and project progression. They will also encourage and support judiciary commitment to excellence, innovation, productive communication, quality customer service and the efficient use of our resources. The position includes conducting formal work performance evaluation; setting performance expectations; mediating conflicts between team members; mentoring and training staff and other related duties as required. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to interact with community leaders and organizations.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION
:  Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree.
EXPERIENCE:  Three (3) years of increasing responsible professional experience, one (1) year which shall include experience in case management, enforcement of court orders, calendar management or program administration including: development, coordination, analysis, implementation, administration or research.
SUBSTITUTION:  Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and professional experience on a year for year basis with one year of such experience being equal to thirty (30) semester hour credits. An Associate’s Degree and two years of additional paraprofessional or professional experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree. A Master’s Degree may be substituted for one (1) year of general experience as indicated above. A Law Degree may be substituted for two (2) years of general experience as indicated above.
DRIVER’S LICENSE:  Appointee will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
AUTHORIZATION TO WORK:  US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.
