Medical Administrative Assistant

The Medical Administrative Assistant training program helps students gain the specialized skills and business knowledge needed to successfully manage the day-to-day administration of a medical facility. Students will learn how to effectively manage front desk reception, patient scheduling, insurance and billing, practice finances, and many other relevant skills. Upon graduation, students will be prepared to enter the workforce and pass the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant exam (CMAA) offered by the National Health Career Association. Inpatient and Outpatient Medical Coding and Billing

This program prepares students for both inpatient and outpatient medical coding and billing careers and helps them gain the knowledge and skills required for the national certification exams. Students focus on medical terminology, coding standards, and specific code sets. A significant portion of the program will be spent training on the 3M™ Coding and Reimbursement System, which is used by many industry employers and prepares students to transition to the workplace.
