Terry Connolly, Executive Director, Morristown Soup Kitchen & Outreach Centre

Terry Connolly brings two unique perspective to the panel: Partnering with corporate companies and partering with other nonprofit organizations.

The innovative “Sponsor of the Day” program encourages for-profit companies to become a sponsor of CSK, paying a sponsorship fee and reaping the rewards of a range of meaningful activities that include team building programs for 15-20 employees, preparing and serving a meal to the daily guests at CSK, being educated on hunger and poverty in NJ and then sharing a lunch with their colleagues at the conclusion of the day.  Raising moral, building camaraderie, engaging in philanthropy and becoming sensitive to the plight of others are just some of the benefits for corporate sponsors.

On the nonprofit side, CSK partners with 40 other nonprofits who come to the center to offer resources across a full spectrum of services including medical help, substance abuse support, assistance with seeking employment and much more-without CSK having to duplicate any services and enabling their guests the convenience of not having to leave the facility to access additional help.

As Terry and her fellow panelists share their experiences, the audience will have the chance to gain practical insights into actionable initiatives!
