About the CCM-FDU Scholarship

CCM-FDU Scholars encourages County College of Morris graduates to continue their bachelor’s degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Students are eligible for the CCM-FDU Scholars 40% tuition reduction as soon as they have completed their associate degree at County College of Morris, filled out the non-binding Intent to Enroll Form, submitted an FDU application, and have been accepted for admission into FDU. CCM students who have received their associate degree after October, 2015 are eligible. The CCM-FDU Scholars Program discount is available to CCM graduates choosing to enroll part time or full time at FDU.

For CCM-FDU Scholar students planning to attend FDU in the Fall 2017 semester, the GPA tiered scholarship information is below.

Your County College of Morris GPA determines your award:

  • 40% off of the current FDU tuition rate for GPA less than 3.00.
($15,888.80 off of the Florham tuition rate or $14,790.40 off of the Metropolitan tuition rate)
  •  $15,000 for GPA between 3.00 and 3.49 (plus an additional $1,500 Community College Scholars Grant)
  • $18,000 for GPA 3.5 and higher (plus an additional $1,000 Community College Scholars Grant)
  • $19,000 for members of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society (plus and additional $1,000 Community Scholars Grant)

In addition, if you choose to live on campus, you will receive a yearly $1,500 housing grant. And if you are an NJ Stars II participant, there is additional scholarship money available to you.

Meet with the CCM-FDU Scholars Program Liaison

Interested students should set up a meeting as soon as possible to discuss how their CCM curriculum requirements will also satisfy the FDU requirements. Meetings are encouraged each semester so the CCM advisor, FDU Scholars Program Liaison and you, the student, can monitor how to integrate each school’s courses for a seamless transition from associate to bachelor's degree completion.

The CCM-FDU Scholars Program Liaison is available in CCM's Cohen Hall Alcove on Thursdays from 11:00-1:00 pm to answer questions and offer information about FDU. The Liaison will be able to give you more insight into the FDU major of your choice and open the door to communication with FDU faculty members.  FDU strongly encourages prospective students to visit campus, meet faculty members, and sit in on a few classes.

As you near your graduation from County College of Morris, the CCM-FDU Scholars Program Liaison, along with academic advisors, will create a Fairleigh Dickinson University schedule with you for your first semester. Our goal is to help you achieve your academic dreams. We are two schools with one goal: Your Success.

If I’m in Phi Theta Kappa, am I eligible for both the Phi Theta Kappa scholarship and the CCM-FDU Scholars 40% tuition reduction?

How will I know what financial aid I will be eligible for at FDU?

Please contact the CCM-FDU Scholars Program Liaison to set up individual appointments with FDU financial aid counselors.  Additionally, on a demand basis, financial aid counselors will visit the CCM campus each semester.

How do I apply?

Is there an option to apply in person?

  • Both the CCM Office of Transfer Services and the CCM-FDU Scholars Program Liaison will work together to make CCM students aware of FDU instant decision days at CCM.  The CCM Office of Transfer Services usually hosts an FDU instant decision day in the fall and spring semester.
