David began his career as a master electric and board operator in regional theater before coming to NYC and lighting numerous off-off Broadway shows while working professionally as a film electrician, video Lighting Director and Director of Photography. Lighting designs include Guys & Dolls, Pride & Prejudice, The Rocky Horror Show, Dead Man Walking, The Heidi Chronicles, Bus Stop, Cabaret, Stage Door,The Good Doctor, Museum and Boy Gets Girl for FDU; Story of Three Women at the Kay Theater, Kuronofune - The Black Ship at Alice Tully Hall and Nasu No Yoichi at Merkin Hall for the Harmonia Japanese Opera Company of NYC, Stand Up For Life Ice Skating show for TOVI Prods, Parade at Montclair Academy for Performing Arts, and Madam Butterfly for The Opera at Florham. David teaches lighting for both the stage and for film & video at FDU and won a Telly Award for Lighting for the interactive new media DVD Video Psychic, produced by TUTM prods.

An award winning published playwright and member of The Dramatists Guild, his play Deep Six Holiday won the Blackburn Award for Excellence in Playwriting and Murder at Café Noir was named Best Dinner Theater by Coast Magazine both in1991. David is best known as the creator of the now popular interactive mystery play and founder of Murder To Go / MTG Inc, the world's first national corporate and interactive theater company for which he has written, directed and produced over one thousand productions for numerous fortune 500 companies. He was featured in Life, People, Businessweek and International Time magazines as well as segments on BBC-TV, “That’s Incredible” and “Good Morning America”. His plays have been produced nationwide and he served as the producer of the highly acclaimed Murder To Go Dinner Theater for twelve years. He is also a member of the Society of American Fight Directors.
