Janet O'Neil has employed her artistic skills as an art director, graphic designer, web designer and illustrator.  Janet has worked in the field of corporate education and has designed numerous web sites for both large and small companies in New Jersey and New York. Her paintings have been showcased in several New Jersey exhibitions and galleries and she is currently working on licensing her art for commercial use.  She is passionate about using design and artistic skills for social responsiblity.  Her hand in the design program at FDU has helped it to grow into a recognized entity that focuses on both skill and creativity.

John Cinco started using digital graphics in 1994, completed his MFA in Computer Art at the School of Visual Arts in 1998, and has been teaching at FDU since 1999. A firm believer in creative exploration regardless of media, John initially had a BFA in Painting and attended a special secondary school for the arts as a visual arts major. When not involved with pedagogical duties, John divides his time between fine arts pursuits and graphic design projects. He has had both one-person and group exhibitions in the Philippines, Japan, and the United States, in both online and brick-and-mortar venues, since 1983.


Kathy McNeil

Kathy was born and attended school near Albany, New York. Offered a position as an assistant art director at American Heritage magazine, she discovered both the grid and her love of editorial art direction.  She went on to work for such magazine titles and publishing organizations as Forbes, People, Women’s World, Sterling Publishing, Cahner’s and Thomson Financial Services. She has also worked in various positions in corporate communications.
Her design work has been recognized with several regional and national design awards and she has had her design work exhibited in several juried shows. She is a member of the Art Director’s Club of New Jersey.
Kathy began teaching graphic design in 1999. She has taught various topics in graphic design and art history at Ramapo College, Fairleigh Dickinson University, County College of Morris and Sussex County Community College. She serves as the advisor to CCM’s award-winning student art and literature publication, The Promethean. Under her guidance, that project has become a stand-alone class for advanced design students who have the opportunity to develop and produce a printed product for a client in a real-time studio environment.
Her favorite part of teaching: the chance to guide a student as they find their voice as a designer.

Ron founded Seefood Design in 2004. His work has helped brand some of the biggest names in video, sports and cable television, including Columbia TriStar, Turner, PolyGram, HBO, and USA Films. He has created award-winning campaigns for fashion and fragrance clients such as Oscar de la Renta,Valentino, and Perry Ellis. Ron began his career as an illustrator and designer for the recording industry, working on staff for, Electra Records Famous Music Corp and EMI. He has produced more than 200 album covers.

Barbara Friedman is an award-winning graphic designer who has been running her own design firm for over 25 years. Her specialties are branding and logo design, art direction, website design, brochures, and typography. Her conceptual approach to design makes her style and design solutions varied and attuned to each client’s specific needs. She is currently serving as Board Secretary for the Art Director’s Club of New Jersey.


 Jon Weiman

A resident of Randolph, New Jersey, Jon Weiman is the owner of Weiman Design, LLC, a design firm specializing in graphic design, web design and illustration.
His work has received numerous awards from the ADCNJ, The Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles, The Sussex County Arts and Heritage Council, Graphic Design USA, The Print Regional Design Annual and The International Association of Business Communicators, etc.

Having designed and illustrated over 300 book covers, he has also designed commemorative pins for the 1996 Olympics and his work is in the permanent collection of the United States Air Force.

The co-author of a book entitled, “Lessons Plans That Wow!” his writing has been published in Communication Arts Magazine, Step-By-Step Graphics and the Society of Illustrators Bulletin.

As a former member of the Board of Directors of the Art Directors Club of New Jersey, Jon is the past Chair of the Education Council. He is also the former National Vice-President of the Graphic Artists Guild and has served on the Board of Directors of the Society of Illustrators as Chair of Fund Development and the Chair of Professional Practices and Legislation.
