Research Interests

Prof. Degiuli's research interests lie at the intersection of gender, globalization, immigration, and work, and are driven by broad questions about the theoretical linkages between political economy and culture. Specifically, she is interested in how both political economy and culture affect work in terms of both ideology and labor markets, and in how they generate, preserve, and challenge intersecting inequalities, particularly those based on race, gender, class, and nation.
