The remaining credits may be electives selected, with the guidance of the students' faculty advisers, from the PSYC3000 and PSYC4400 series of psychology course offerings. It is suggested that those students who seek a professional career in psychology:

  1. Avoid an overconcentration in any one area of psychology at the undergraduate level and have as broad an exposure as possible to the entire field.
  2. Become involved in an independent study project at some point during their fifth through eighth semester of study.

Students concentrating in psychology must complete the social-behavioral sciences requirement of the general education requirements in an area other than psychology.
