Industrial/Organizational Psychology MA (Concentration in Organizational Behavior)

About the Program:

Inspired leadership has always played a vital role in the development and sustained productivity of any successful organization. But as many managers are discovering, effective leadership does not often come naturally to them. The technical and business skills they have carefully honed are simply not transferable to many situations calling for interpersonal and leadership abilities.

In today’s business environment, new and even seasoned managers alike are expected to assume even greater responsibility in reshaping their organizations for the challenges of the future. More than ever, the spotlight is falling on those key organizational players who can provide inspired, dynamic leadership to their colleagues at all levels in the organization. Our MA in Industrial/Organizational Psychology with a concentration in Organizational Behavior and the Certificate in Organizational Leadership alternative brings to bear a combination of personal development, academic insight and mentored work experiences that will create tomorrow’s vital organizational leadership.

Do you have what it takes to become an outstanding leader in the 21st century? Are you bringing the skills of strategic thinking, effective communication, interpersonal insight, and the ability to foster a sense of teamwork and empowerment to others?

The concentration in Organizational Behavior offers a low-residence option, with classes on alternate Saturdays augmented with internet studies expressly designed for managers and prospective managers who aspire to true leadership – to understand and influence the ways in which people work within their organizations. It offers an exciting alternative to traditional graduate business programs, focusing on the development of the critical interpersonal, leadership and team-building skills needed for success.
