The Pillar is the campus newspaper published by students for students. The purposes of the publication are to provide information to the campus community about events and issues, print articles that are of significant interest to students, educate its members in the methods, privileges, and responsibilities of journalism, and allow students to gain valuable experience in all areas of newspaper work. The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is the foremost organization for students interested in public relations. The purposes of PRSSA are to provide students real-world public relations experience, expand students' knowledge of the public relations field, apply public relations principles and put them into practice, and to broaden students’ professional networks. WFDM is the student-run campus radio station. Members gain valuable experience in broadcasting as well as a technical background in radio production. The Television Club is comprised of state-of-the-art equipment that allows students to gain first-hand experience behind the scenes in television and video production. The television studio is made up of three pre-lit mini-studios for news, sitcom, and direct to camera style interviews. It also includes Blackmagic studio cameras and switchers, Sony cameras, a Pro Rifa light kit, and a handheld microphone. Contact the faculty advisor, Professor David Landau, at for more information.
