Beginning with the Fall 2015 semester, FDU operates academic programs under two distinct calendars, a traditional term calendar and a non-traditional term calendar. Every academic program operates fully within one calendar or the other and students must select classes that follow the calendar in which their program operates.

Traditional term programs are those that follow the University’s traditional calendar: two 15-week semesters, fall and spring, along with an optional 3-week wintersession and an 18-week summer session. Non-traditional term programs are those that run three 12-week terms -- fall, spring, and summer I -- along with an optional 10 week summer II session.

The following programs, all within Petrocelli College, are those that operate on the non-traditional term calendar.

Major Religious Holy Days
The University respects the observance of major religious holy days by members of the campus community. Officers of administration and of instruction responsible for scheduling required academic activities or essential services are expected to avoid conflict with such holy days as much as possible.

The academic calendar is subject to change with appropriate notice.
